Prior to becoming a sole practitioner, Lucia trained and later became an associate in a Czech-English law firm, in which she specialized on advising foreign clients in real estate, company incorporation, family law, and probate with an international element, and routinely represented clients before Czech courts. In 2011, Lucia joined the largest Czech and Slovak law firm as a real estate and construction associate. During her practice, Lucia gained considerable experience in real estate transactions, leases, construction law, and environmental law including dispute resolution, for both domestic and international clients.
Currently, Lucia acts for her clients in the following legal areas of expertise:
- Real estate and construction (negotiating and drafting contracts for purchase and sale of real estate, lease of residential, office, commercial and industrial proceedings, contracts for work, construction contracts, mortgages, easements, conducting due diligence of the legal status of real estate, drafting legal opinions and memoranda, representing clients in cadastral proceedings, land use planning and building proceedings including advisory in the area of land use planning and brownfields’ development;
- Commercial and company law (company incorporation, arranging for general meetings and board meetings, drafting managerial contracts, advisory on company’s management and share purchase transfers)
- Labour law (drafting employment contracts and other employment related documents regulating the relationship between employees and employers, termination of employment, and employment related dispute resolution)
- Advisory on regulatory and management aspects of stock traders and business of capital markets
- Advisory in the area of import, sale and distribution of medical devices and other products in the Czech market
- Advisory in energy law (heat and gas industries, advising on public restriction of property in respect to energy pipelines and in other legal issues)
- Family law and probate (advising on the joint property of spouses, preparation of divorces and applications for separation of the joint property of spouses and child custody matters, child and spouse support, representing clients in inheritance proceedings and disputes relating to the validity of wills, family law and probate matters with foreign element)
- Debt recovery (communication with debtors, preparation of letters before claim, representing clients in court or arbitration proceedings, representing clients in insolvency proceedings
