Jan became an attorney in 2008, having successfully passed the bar exam with distinction. He acts for small and medium size businesses, including entities with sole or partial foreign ownership. Although most of his representative matters relate to business, he also provides legal services to other entities and individuals as well as to state and local governing bodies (ministries and municipalities). Jan speaks Czech and English and provides the following services:
- Preparation of various contracts and agreements, both standard (purchase agreement, tenancy agreement, contract for work, mandate contract) and atypical
- Represents clients in contentious and non-contentions matters before courts and in administrative proceedings
- Provides comprehensive legal services relating to real estate (flats, commercial properties, buildings, lands), their transfer, mortgages, easements and tenancies; services relating to land use planning and building proceedings
- All services relating to the incorporation, management and administration of companies, organisation of general meetings, changes to previously incorporated companies including changes in registered capital and mergers, change of legal form, and company liquidation
- Services relating to securities, issue and transfer of shares, charges over securities and promissory notes
- Services in intellectual property, including copyright, trademarks, IT, libel, and the protection of reputation of natural persons and legal entities
- Matters relating to competition law and unfair competition law
- Services connected to labour law, including employment and managerial contracts, termination of employment, and employment of foreigners
- Preparation and organisation of public procurement, advisory and representation of applicants for public procurements
- Debt recovery
